Customizable Training Options for Your Facility

Maintaining a facility is challenging, and training a team to do it consistently can be just as demanding. Even with the right products in place, inconsistent procedures can lead to mistakes, rework, and unnecessary labor. When tasks are performed differently from shift to shift, quality becomes unpredictable and more time is spent correcting issues instead of maintaining spaces.

Standardized training helps facilities create clear expectations, reduce variability, and ensure cleaning tasks are performed correctly regardless of who is on the floor.

No single training method works for every team or facility. That’s why consistent quality depends on proper training and reinforcement from day one. Without follow-ups, check-ins, and clear procedures, results become dependent on individual experience rather than a shared standard.

Why Standardization Matters

Standardization provides teams with clarity. When procedures are clearly defined, staff know what tools to use, which products are appropriate, and how tasks should be completed. This reduces product waste, eliminates guesswork, and helps ensure cleaning is performed efficiently and safely. For example, understanding the correct tools and steps for restroom cleaning or floor maintenance helps prevent overuse of products and reduces the likelihood of improper procedures that lead to rework. When everyone follows the same process, results become more predictable and easier to maintain.

In-Person Training with Knowledgeable Representatives

Buckeye Representatives provide in-person training to help leaders and custodial teams understand proper procedures and application techniques. Our representatives will come to your facility and train your staff. They are available by phone when problems arise. They are experts at maintenance and can solve any problem. Other companies don’t provide this personal touch. Our goal is to create relationships with our customers so we can provide the solutions that make sense for their needs.

Our representatives can provide specialized training for each program and product and are based locally so they can provide a service-oriented approach that ensures your team has the knowledge to succeed.

Training Tools and Resources

We also offer additional training options like the Honors Program for Schools and Universities, which focuses on building consistency through hands-on learning and ongoing reinforcement.

The Buckeye Honors Program is a complete training program designed to support custodial teams with planning, onboarding, and daily task execution.

Honors can be tailored to the specific needs of a facility, and offers 24/7 online access with exclusive training videos, test reporting and customizable surveys.

Along with the Honors Program, we offer training programs for other facility types to compliment in-person training.

To further support consistency, we can also provide educational wall charts and visual resources as point-of-use references. These include floor care charts for staff, hand washing guides for restrooms, and sanitation charts to support both staff and guest awareness.

Ongoing Support

Training doesn’t stop once procedures are introduced. Buckeye provides various training materials and ongoing customer service to help answer questions and address challenges as they arise.

Consistency Starts with the Right Support

Maintaining a facility will always come with challenges, but consistent training and clear procedures make it easier for teams to succeed. With structured training, visible resources, and ongoing support, facilities can reduce rework, improve consistency, and create more predictable cleaning outcomes.
